Memorial Services will be 11:00 am Saturday, August 29, 2009 at Aardahl Lutheran Church in Bemidji with Rev. Mark Papke-Larson officiating.
Marsha was born September 21, 1953, in Fosston, MN, the daughter of Walter and Myrtle (Teigland) Bourcy. She was raised and educated in Alida where she attended Elementary School. She graduated from Bagley High School in 1971 and attended Bemidji State University. Marsha lived in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada for a time. She returned to Bemidji and worked as the Advertising Director for the Buyline.
Marsha loved life. She loved her "critters". She loved her flowers. She devoured books by the bag full. Her calendar year was deer season to deer season. She was fast, so fast that the things she did seemed effortless. But, above all else she loved people. She gathered us to her; she embraced us. Her gift to us was that she saw us as better than we are and made us better because of it.
She is survived by her mother, Myrtle Bourcy of Bemidji, Sister, Myrna Bourcy of New Brighton, MN; life partner; Melvin Himmelright of Nary, MN, two step-sons Darcy Hjelmeland and Wesley Hjelmeland both of Winnipeg, Canada.
She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Bourcy and brother, DeWayne Bourcy.
