ABRAM SALTZMAN, MERCHANT, DIES - Well Known Local Business Man, Expires Early Today At Home.
ABRAM SALTZMAN, widely known business man, died at 1:30 o'clock this morning at his residence, 705 Hamilton Boulevard, aged 65 years. Death was due to complications, following a prolonged illness.
The deceased was a merchant of Hagerstown for nearly forty years, coming here almost direct from his native land of Russia. He began his business career as a peddler, but before many years was a successful merchant, and had accumulated considerable business property.
He was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America for many years and a staunch Republican in politics.
Surviving him are his wife, Elizabeth, three daughters, Mrs. Fannie Schultz, Baltimore; Ida and Helen, at home, and three sons, Moses, this city; Louis of Ohio, and Jacob, Sharpsburg.
The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock this afternoon with services at the Synagogue by Rabbi Framm. Burial will be made in the Hebrew Cemetery, at Halfway.
