L. Ried Andreasen, 30, Route 2, Shelly,died Wednesday at the Community Hospital in Idaho Falls of injuries received in an accident at work for the Utah Poweer and Light Company. "Andreason's hand touched a lead-in wire to the trasformer and 7,200 volts of electricity passed through his body."
He was born March 2,1944 in Preston, the son of Dee L. and Ethelean Lloyd Andreasen. He attended school in Grace and the College of Southern Utah.
He married De Anne Hobson in Lava Hot Springs. For the past years, Mr. Andreasen has been employed by Utah Power and Light, and they made their home in Grace, Ogden, and Smithfield before moving to Shelly, Idaho.
Mr. Andreasen was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He filled a mission in California and had served as dance director in MIA and as a Scout leader. He enjoyd fishing, hunting, horseback riding and the out of doors.
Survivors include his widow, a son, Jared, and two daughters, Jodie and Michelle, all of Shelley; his parents of Grace; three brothers, LaGrand, Pocatello, and Bart and Mark, both of Grace; two sisters, Mrs. Mark (Boonie) Gibbs, Grace and Mrs. Preston(Shauna)Phelps, Soda Springs.
Funeral Services will be 1 PM Saturday in the LDS Third Ward chapel at Shelly with Bishop Gene Kelly officiating.
Burial will be in the Lava Hot Springs Cemetery.
