Feb. 11, 1985 Coeur d'Alene Kootenai County Idaho, USA
Isaac Merlin was born January 19, 1895, in Escalante, Utah. The Allen family moved to Twin Falls, Idaho in search of a better life. It was there, where he married Amy Henrietta Larsen, on October 17, 1915. Amy and Issac, or "Merle" as he was known, owned and operated a raw milk diary. The dairy was located on Blue Lakes Blvd, in Twin Falls, and supplied many of the large families in the area. It was there that the couple raised their two sons, Robert O'Neal, and Lester Merlin. After many years running the dairy, Amy and Merl sold out and retired. They moved north to Post Falls, Idaho in order to be close to their youngest son Robert, and his family. In the winter months they would head south, to Yuma, Arizona. They did that for a few years, until the travel became to much for them. They also wanted to be home to watch their four grandchildren. It was in Post Falls, where the couple lived out their remaining years, until Merl's death in 1985. Amy and Merl enjoyed 70 good years together.
