Declo, Idaho – Neena Celine Anderson, 56, of Kuna, Idaho, and formerly of Declo, passed away quietly and unexpectedly in her sleep on Saturday, June 15, 2013, in the company of her loving children and grandchildren.
She was born on July 17, 1956, in Burley, Idaho, the daughter of John Riley and Nancy May Dayley Anderson. She received her education in Malta and Declo.
She married Bill Caldwell and together, they had four children, Riley Caldwell and Joshua Caldwell, both of Kuna, Idaho, Sara (Dave) Schaeffer, of Meridian, Idaho, and Heather (Lyndon) Johns, of Garden City, Idaho. They later divorced.
She married Steve Sigler and they had a daughter, Teschia (Anthony) Latten, of Kuna, Idaho. They were also later divorced. Kristen Taggert of Georgia, a daughter that Neena had unselfishly given to a loving family early in her teen years, was later reunited with her birth mother and they developed a special loving relationship.
Throughout her life, she had an amazing artistic talent. She loved animals, gardening, reading and decorating her home. Her greatest love was her children, 12 grandchildren, and one great-grandson.
Neena was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed visiting teaching and participating in the temple prep class. She loved more than anything to read the scriptures early in the morning and sharing her thoughts with her children. She truly had a great love for her Savior and a strong testimony of His love for her.
Mom. . .the caretaker of everyone. Mom. . .understood when others turned their backs. Mom. . .would love – no matter how stressed she was, she still had time for you. Mom. . .helped and watched as we and our children grew. Mom. . .it's your turn to be taken care of. God will love and cherish you like you did all of us. We will miss you. Mom. . .it's your time to fly with the angels!
Neena is survived by her children and grandchildren; her father, John Riley Anderson, of Declo; three sisters, Candace (Dennis) Schrenk, of Declo, Rebecca (Terry) Robinson, of Evanston, Wyoming, and Kathleen (Greg) Folks, of Hurst, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her mother; one brother; her grandparents; and three uncles.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 24, at the Declo LDS Stake Center, 213 W. Main St., with Bishop Garth Searle officiating. Burial will be in the Declo Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday, June 23, at the Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley, and from 10 until 10:40 a.m. Monday at the church.
