JULIA ELMORE AKER

Funeral services will be held this afternoon at the Christian church for Mrs. Julia Elmore Aker, wife of J. A. Aker, 70 years of age, who died Monday evening at Grassy Hill from pneumonia. the services will be in charge of the Pastor, rev. Chris J. Beny. She was a life member of the Christian church. Julia Elmore Miller was born in Lowndes Co., Alabama, June 6, 1861, and moved to the state of Missouri in early life. She married Thos. L. Sparks in 1879 and nine children were born to this union, six of whom survive. Mr. Sparks died in 1896, and she married James A. Aker, September 14, 1899. Two children were born to them, both of whom survive. The surviving sons and daughters are Mrs. Callie Strange, Butler, Mo., Mrs. Mittie Young, Smithville Mo., Duncan Sparks of Huron SD., Mrs. Georgia Hunter, Ontario Ore., Mrs Louella Skinner, Walla Walla, Wash., Mrs. Lessie Grubb, Longview, Wash. and Elmore Aker of Buhl. there are also 27 grand children and six great-grandchildren. Mrs. Grubb, Mrs. Hunter, and Mrs. Skinner are in Buhl for the funeral.

Julia lived: 69yrs., 5mos., 11days., she died in Roseworth, Idaho.

A. J. Aker, for many years a resident of Grassy Hill section, has gone to Longview Washington, where he will make his home with the C.E. Grubb family.
