James Robert "Jim Bob" Allman, age 82 of Gregory Run Road , Clarksburg, WV departed this life on Wed., Jan. 2, 2013 at his residence.

He was born in Clarksburg, WV on July 24, 1930, a son of the late Orval Lee Allman and Freda Mae (Day) Allman.

Surviving are his wife of 63 years who was his high school sweetheart, Sue Anne (Coffman) Allman. They were united in marriage on Nov. 27, 1949 at the Clarksburg Baptist Church, three daughters, Glenna Sue Fleming & Neville, Clarksburg, WV, Paula Deanne Barnes & Michael, Clarksburg, WV and Katrina Kay Hamrick & Jeff, Clarksburg, WV, two brothers, Edward Lee Allman, Bridgeport, WV and David Day Allman & Wilma, Clarksburg, WV, six loving grandchildren; Amie Flint & Chad, Nichole Cochran & Eric, Matthew Barnes, Adam Hamrick, Alissa Fleming and Katelyn Hamrick, six great grandchildren, Mariah, Brookelyn, and Maverick Flint, Logan, Alexis and Levi Cochran and several nieces and nephews.
He also was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Kathleen Hornor and her husband Edwin "Bud" and Betty Jean Flint and Tom, a grandson, Steven "Eric" Coffman, a son-in-law, Steven Coffman and two sisters-in-law, Jeanne and Patty Allman.

Jim was a member of the Fellowship Bible Church in Bridgeport.

He graduated from Washington Irving High School in the Class of 1948 and then attended West Virginia University. In earlier years he worked at Allman Brothers Grocery Store and later retired from Southern States.
As a farmer he enjoyed raising and showing Ayrshire Dairy cattle and Bantam chickens. Jim was a former 4-H leader in Harrison County. He also liked hunting, fishing, Appalachian crafts and rendezvous. He will be missed by his loyal pets Ali and Ollie.

Friends will be received at the Davis-Weaver Funeral Home, 329 East Main St., Clarksburg from 4-8 p.m. Friday where a funeral service will be held at 3 p.m., Sat., Jan. 5, 2013 with Pastor Sam Schwenk presiding. Interment will be in the Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Harrison County Humane Society, Rt.2 Box 932, Shinnston, WV 26431.
