CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Cora Elizabeth Allen, 95, of Charles Town, died Wednesday, April 14, 1999, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Ranson, W.Va.

Born June 10, 1903, in Jefferson County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Frank and Sally Twyman.

Her husband, Hugh Allen, preceded her in death.

She was a homemaker and worked at Potato-Puff Factory in Greencastle, Pa.

She was of the Methodist faith.

She is survived by three daughters, Bessie Cross of Washington, D.C., Hilda Guiton and Helen Carter, both of McKeesport, Pa.; four sons, Cecil Allen of McKeesport, Pa., Walter Allen of Washington, D.C., George Allen of Kearneysville, W.Va., and Henry Allen of Charles Town; and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Sarah Allen; one son, James A. Allen; two brothers, Jim Twyman and Harry Twyman; and one half-sister, Delsie Gowens.

Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Zion Baptist Church in Charles Town. The Rev. Abner Carey Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens in Martinsburg, W.Va.

The family will receive friends at Jefferson Chapel Funeral Home in Ranson today from 7 to 8 p.m.
