In Alameda, March 5, Bernard William Augustine, beloved husband of the late Hannah A Augustine, loving father of Mrs Lillian M Fehd, Mrs Ada D Crosby and Walter A Augustine and brother of Mrs L Bougash of San Francisco, a native of Germany, aged 79 years, 9 months and 14 days.

ALAMEDA, March . -- Bernard William Augustine, a pioneer resident of this city and well known as an inventor of wood working machinery, died early Sunday morning at his home on Pacific avenue.
Deceased had lived in Alameda more than 24 years and had conducted a manufacturing plant at Pacific avenue and Chapin street. He has a patent on one of the finest imitation hardwood machines that has ever been manufactured.
The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon from the parlors of James Fowler on Santa Clara avenue. The services will be conducted by Rev. F. S. Brush. The body will be laid to rest in the Evergreen cemetery.
