Reba M. Allred
Reba M. Allred, 89, died Tuesday, May 11, 2004, at Homeview Nursing Home in Franklin. She was a resident of Franklin.
She was born Sept. 13, 1914, in Scipio. Her parents were Harry A. and Mary Edna (Pile) Davis. She married Clarence Bradley Allred on Aug. 31, 1935. He preceded her in death Oct. 16, 1986. Survivors include a daughter, Mary F. Glassburn of Rockledge, Fla.; two brothers, Willard "Mac" Davis of Greencastle and Bill Davis of Lebanon; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, H.A. Davis; and a sister, Ersel Vanlanginham.
She attended Needham Township schools.
She was employed by Kroger in Franklin for 27 years, retiring in 1976. She was the first female head produce clerk and cashier for Kroger in Indiana.
She was a member of Bluff Creek Christian Church.
A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. in Franklin. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Bluff Creek Cemetery.
