May Gertrude (Willis) Baker
May Gertrude (Willis) Baker, 89, died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2004, at Miller's Merry Manor in Mooresville. She was a resident of Greenwood.
She was born April 5, 1914, in Randolph County. Her parents were Noah T. and Zora E. (Thompson) Willis. She married Arthur "Bud" Baker on Dec. 12, 1932, in Lebanon. He preceded her in death in May 1964. Survivors include two granddaughters, Marty Dodson of Martinsville and Lydia Chandler of Indianapolis; four great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Donald "Dude" Baker; a grandson, Jerry Wert; a brother; and a sister.
She attended Mooresville schools.
She was a homemaker and was employed by RCA in Indianapolis as a line worker for 30 years.
She was a member of Pythian Sisters of Stones Crossing.
The Rev. Stan Icenogle will conduct a service at noon Saturday at Vandivier-Tudor Bargersville Chapel, 103 Main St. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Bluff Creek Cemetery.
