Obituary:
Paul Robert Arbogast, 90, of Circleville died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2007, at Loyalton of Harrisonburg, Harrisonburg, Virginia.

Mr. Arbogast was born May 17, 1917, in Circleville and was the son of the late Truman "Buzz" and Eve Mae Simmons Arbogast.

He served as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He graduated from Circleville High School in 1940 and was a deputy assessor for Pendleton County. He was a retired farmer and had retired in 1985 as a scales operator for German Valley Lime Company. He was Pentecostal by faith and was a member of North Fork Apostolic Church.

On Aug. 13, 1943, he married Izetta Jewell Canfield, who survives.

Also surviving are three daughters, Patricia Ann Wilkins of Harrisonburg, Virginia, Joan Marie McConnell of Circleville, and Debra Ruth Lucas of Vinton, Virginia; a son, James Paul Arbogast of Seneca Rocks; a sister, Nila Good of Timberville, Virginia; two brothers, David Arbogast and Ralph Arbogast, both of Circleville; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was also preceded in death by one brother, Price Arbogast, and two sisters, Irma Propst Day and Mary Judy Harper.

The Rev. Stanley Kile conducted the funeral Sunday in the Chapel of the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin. Burial with graveside military services by the Pendleton County Veterans Honor Guard was in North Fork Memorial Cemetery in Riverton.
