Funeral services were held for Wiley I. Allen Tuesady, December 27, at the Cedarville Community Church with the Rev. Ralph Conard in charge and interment was in the Eagleville cemetery.
Wiley I. Allen passed away in the Cedarville hospital December 25 after having been in ill health for some time. He was born June 11, 1881, on the old Allen ranch south of Cedarville, the oldest of seven sons born to Mary Schafer and Jay Allen. He attended the schools of Surprise Valley and spent his life here. For many years he owned the ranch where he was born and retired from active work only a few years ago when he and his wife moved to a home in Cedarville.
January 15, 1912, he was married to Mayme F. Chambers, who survives him, as do six sons and daughters, Mrs. Mary Dees and Darrell Allen of Cedarville, Mrs. Via Perry of Yerington, Nevada, Lester Allen of Sonora, Raymond Allen of Sacramento and Howard Allen of Yerington, Nevada. One son, George B. Allen, was killed in France October 19, 1944, during World War II. There are also seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews surviving.
Pall bearers were Chris Hansen, Buck Page, Jum Heryford, Clint JOnes, Melvin Stevenson and Darwin Cloud.
