AMATO, Jackson "Jack" Samuel, 86, of Elm Grove, WV, died Monday, September 7, 2009 at Bishop Hodges Continuous Care Center, Wheeling. Born in Glouster OH on April 28, 1923, Jack was the son of the late Tom and Tressa Cierro Amato. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and was a retired employee of Blaw Knox Foundry. He was a US Navy veteran of WW II. In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his wife Ivy Bagwell Amato in 2007; sisters,
Annie Anderono, Elizabeth "Lizzie" Zambito, Mary Kovalick; and brothers, Frank Amato and infant brother Angelo Amato. Surviving are one daughter, Jackie Shia, and her husband Tracy of Wheeling; three grandchildren, Skyler Shia, Shayna Shia, and Shelton Shia all of Wheeling; brother, Joe Amato of Gettysburg, PA; and sister Frances DiNardo of Detroit, MI
