The Daily Notes, Canonsburg PA, Monday 20 August 1928, front page - Mrs. William F. Boyce Dies At Home Saturday --- On August 18, 1928, after a brief illness, TAMAR PARK BOYCE passed away at her late home near Boyce Station. Mrs. Boyce was a daughter of the late JOHN and MARY JANE CRAWFORD PARK, and spent her entire life in the neighborhood where she died. She received her education in the local schools, graduating at Slippery Rock State Normal in the class of '96, later taking a musical course in Muskingum College. Mrs. Boyce was actively associated in church and Sabbath school work, first as a member of the Center Presbyterian Church and later as a member of the Bethany Presbyterian Church of Bridgeville. She was an active member in the Missionary Society of her church and was interested in all work for the betterment of the community in which she lived. She is survived by her husband, WILLIAM F. BOYCE, a son, RICHARD PARK BOYCE, and a daughter, ANNA MARY LOIS BOYCE; two sisters, MRS. ALEX. B. BROWN, of Thompsonville, and MRS. THOMAS W. PAUL, of Washington, and a brother, DR. CHARLES E. PARK, who has been associated with the Presbyterian Board of Foreign Missions in the fields of Siam and Southern China for the past fifteen years. Brief funeral service will be held at the Boyce home on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. (e.s.t.), after which the body will be taken to Center Church, where service will be held at 2 o'clock. Interment at Center.
