A recitation of rosary for Kathy Babbel of Grass Valley will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 235 Chapel St. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m., followed by graveside services at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery in Grass Valley. Father Larry Beck will officiate the services.
Mrs. Babbel died Monday, Jan. 31, in Grass Valley. She was 60.
She was born Nov. 30, 1944, in Linton, Ind., to Delphia and Harriet Brooks. She married William Babbel on Jan. 30, 1965, in Tucson, Ariz.
She is survived by her husband, William Babbel of Grass Valley; son, William A. Babbel of Campbell; sister, Margie Sigman of Phoenix, Ariz.; brother, Les Brooks of Battle Mountain, Nev.; and mother, Harriet Brooks of Phoenix, Ariz. She was preceded in death by her father, Delphia Brooks.
