Guy James Badasci, Jr. was born in Riverdale Ca.
Guy was a graduate of Lemoore High School in 1940. Soon after, Guy met the love of his life, Julia Jean Stokes at a dance in Hanford Ca., where he fell in love and was married to Julia Jean for 55 years.
After having their first child Helen, Guy and Julia moved to San Diego where Guy served his country by building ships during WWll.
Being from a business family, Guy and Julia opened continental Dairy Equipment Co. Inc. where Guy soon became the largest DeLaval milking machine dealer in California. Later Guy would add Western Wear to his business along with the opening of a branch in Tulare Ca., and Las Vegas Nv., where Guy and his family worked for 50 years. All six of Guy's children along with many wonderful employees shared in Guy's success. At one time Guy owned more Western Boots than any retailer West of Dallas, Texas.
Guy was a member of The Knights of Columbus, a Gold Card Member in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association and a longtime member of the Clovis Rodeo Association. Guy was so very proud of his Swiss Heritage.
The Badasci Family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Chen of Hanford and Father Richard of Laton for their love and care for our father; Guy James Badasci Jr. "God Bless You Mom and Dad" from your loving children.
Guy was preceded in death by his loving wife, Julia Jean Badasci; mother Pearl; and father Guy Sr.; sister, Evalyn Wood and her husband Jim; brothers, Ted and Bill and his wife Donna; and grandson, Danny Badasci.
Guy is survived by his daughters, Helen Herzog and her husband Keith of Fresno, Lillian "Tiny" Enos and her husband Johnny of Hanford, and Cynthia Badasci of Hanford; sons, George and Fiancee Cindy of Orosi-Hanford, Joseph and his wife Cindy of Hanford, and Mike and his wife Sandra of Clovis; sister, Lillian Billingsley of Lemoore; and brother Bob and his wife Ann of Lemoore.; sisters-in-law, Pat Massey of Hanford and Virginia Badasci-Sartor of Mt. Shasta; daughter-in-law, Penny Badasci of Hanford; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many wonderful nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at St. Peter's Catholic Church, in Lemoore, on Friday, November 13, 2009, at 5:30 p.m., with Recitation of The Holy Rosary beginning at 6:30 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Brigid's Catholic Church in Hanford, on Saturday, November 14, 2009, at 10:00 a.m., with burial following in Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may contribute to the American Diabetes Association , 5160 N. Fresno St., #101, Fresno, Ca., 93710, or the donor's favorite charity in Guy's memory.
