"CANFIELD - Kathryn Heaver Armstrong, 96, died Sunday, Sept. 4, 2011, at Clare Bridge of Austintown. She was born Feb. 11, 1915, in Boardman, the daughter of Jefferson Davis Heaver and Anne Elizabeth Moyer Heaver. Kathryn taught in Boardman Local Schools. She was an active member of John Knox Presbyterian Church for more than 50 years. Survivors include her brother, Dr. Robert Heaver of Naples Fla.; and her caretaker, Charles Brown of Canfield. Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Armstrong; and two brothers. Private funeral services were held Wednesday at Thompson Funeral Home in Boardman. There are no calling hours."
