Karen S. (Hauman) Aguilar, 65, of Silvis, IL, died Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at home in the arms of her sister, Janet and her nieces Kim and Rovanna at her side. She had fought a hard battle after 3 years of being sick. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation will be two hours prior to services at the funeral home on Saturday. Memorials may be made to the family. Karen Hauman was born February 10, 1943 in Moline, IL, the daughter of Henry and Ellen (Pollard) Hauman. She attended Colona Grade School and UTHS. She had been a homemaker. She had lived in Georgia and Wauconda, IL, for several years before coming back home to the Quad Cities. She loved to visit and go out to eat, watching TV, and sitting with family at her sister Janet's home on the back porch. Karen loved her family very much. She was a very caring and loving lady. Survivors include: sisters, Janet Maddelein of Moline, IL, Linda Pisman of Hampton; nieces and nephews, Rovanna Hahn of East Moline, Joe Maddelein of East Moline, Kim Carter of East Moline, Jill Pisman of Hampton, Tracey Davis of IL, Bill and Mike Kinney of East Moline; great nieces and nephews, Matt Hahn of East Moline, Kristin Hahn of Bettendorf, IA, Branden Berhenke of Silvis, Steven Carter of Silvis, Dalton and Breanna Maddelein of Moline; great great nephew Jorden Berhenke She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Donna, brothers-in-law, Al Maddelein and John Pisman. A special thanks to friends, Virginia and Bonnie who helped Karen and her family through a long illness, to Rovanna and Mike Hahn who made sure Karen received her medicine, to her niece Kim that spent so much time with her, and to her Hospice Nurses.
