Funeral services for Leon Bailey, 56, Mount Hope, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Ritchie and Johnson Funeral Parlor Chapel with the Rev. William Freeman in charge. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park.
Bailey was dead on arrival at a Beckley hospital at 2 p.m. Sunday.
Born May 16, 1910 at Pembroke, Va., he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charley Bailey. He was a 23-year Army veteran, having retired with the rank of sergeant.
Survivors include five brothers, Hale, Scarbro, Charley and Lucian, both of Dayton, Ohio, Hiawatha, Ronceverte and Desail, Mount Hope and asister, Mrs. Louise Brown, Mount Hope.
The body will remain at the funeral home where friends may call Wednesday afternoon."
