Susan passed away at her home in Clovis on Friday, January 24, 2014, after a private battle with breast cancer. Born on February 2, 1960, in Fresno, she grew up attending Clovis schools graduating from Clovis High School in 1978.
Susan then went on to receive a Bachelor of Science Degree in Ornamental Horticulture from California State University, Fresno where she was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority and served as President for her chapter. She later continued her education at the University of California, Los Angeles.
Susan was a licensed California Landscape Architect, working in commercial landscape throughout California. Susan most recently worked alongside her husband Randy, to develop Keystone Fruit and Vegetable. Through this endeavor, they were able to provide fresh produce for a number of national food banks.
Throughout her life Susan had many passions; among them was her love for horses, art, and traveling. She won many awards for showmanship with her horses and recently had her art featured at the Fresno Art Museum's Trashique event.
Susan's greatest love in life was her two boys. She volunteered at their schools and was a constant presence in all their activities. Growing up, she loved the outdoors and took many trips with her family. Susan and Randy continued these traditions with the boys; taking them fishing on the Delta, on numerous camping trips to the High Sierra's, and many vacations to the beach.
She will be remembered for the passion and love of her two boys that consumed her, as wells as her beautiful spirit, both inside and out.
She will be deeply missed by her husband and her sons, and stepdaughter.
