He was a native of Harrison County and was born May 18, 1872, the son of John and Elizabeth (Costilow) Teter. Surviving are three sons and four daughters: Clarence, of Camden; Hoy, of Morgantown; Harry, of Linn; Mrs. Settie Yost, of Hundred; Mrs. Lucy Lang, of Toronto, Ohio; Mrs. Nellie Helmick, of Linn, and Mrs. Edrie Wentz, of Buckhannon. He also leaves one sister, Mrs. Delphia Osborne, of Linn; one brother, Alonzo, of Linn; 24 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Pearl; one sister, Mrs. Lora Osburn; one brother, John C. Teter.
Mr. Teter was a farmer.
