She was born June 12, 1920 in the Philippines to the late Silvares and Trinidad Adrais, and was the wife of the late Harvey Bond. She was also preceded in death by a son, Glen Bond and a grandson, Gerald Bond, Jr.
She was a devoted mother and grandmother who cherished her Christian Faith. She was a member of Mountain View Assembly of God in Marlinton, WV.
Anita is survived by her children, Janie Lowe, Marie Waybright, Gerald Bond, and Michael Bond and wife Beth, all of Elkins; Shirley Dimino and husband Anthony of Virginia Beach, VA, Dorothy Watson and husband, Lewis of Washington, WV, Arnold Bond and wife Patricia of Midlothian, VA, Adam Bond and wife Qun of Bridgeport, WV, and James Bond and wife Jeannette of New Castle, DE; a special home maker, Bobbie McKenzie; 29 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
Services will be held 11:00 am Monday, December 7, 2009 at Arbovale United Methodist Church, with Rev. David Rittenhouse officiating. Burial will follow at the Beaver Creek Cemetery at Watoga.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Sunday at the funeral home in Arbovale.
