Milton Leroy Adair, 88, died on August 17, 2009 in Peoria, Arizona.

Born December 24, 1920 in Mesa, Arizona to Alfred C. and Helena Hille Adair.

He married Dorothy Jean Spens on November 10, 1944. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Mesa, Arizona Temple.

Milton served his country as a Navy pilot during World War II until an injury ended his career. He enjoyed cars and most of his working years involved his service station and auto repair business. When he retired, he had been a AAA contractor longer than anyone else in the Salt Lake area.

Dad was fortunate to live with his son Jim in Arizona and his son Scott and his family in Utah for several years. He drove back and forth as a "snowbird" as he would tell anyone who would listen.

Survived by daughter Kathryn Marshall, sons James (Jungyum) and Scott (Kathy), brother Charles (Jeanine), granddaughter Nicole Adair, grandsons Brad Marshall and Ian Adair, three great-granddaughters and one great-grandson. Preceded in death by his wife, infant daughter Susan, parents, brothers Al, Norman, Leonard, and sister La Preal.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2009 at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street, at 10 a.m. Viewings will be held on Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday one hour prior to the services.
Interment will be held at 2 p.m. in the Mount Pleasant Utah City Cemetery.
