Virginia C. Cheney, age 81, passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 1999 at Manor Care in South Ogden.
Virginia was born on December 16, 1917 in Sumter, South Carolina, a daughter of Joseph Cleveland and Eliza Webster Cotton.
She married Harmon Weston Cheney on July 4, 1945 in Inglewood, California. Their marriage was solemnized in the LDS eceded her in death on January 2. Married George Creacy; later divorced.
Throughout her life, she enjoyed traveling, gardening, and dancing.
Virginia is survived by one son, Kerry C. (Jean) Cheney of Kaysville; three daughters, Zenda (Paul) Ducharme of West Haven, LaRayne (Jim) Venable of Waxahachie, Texas, LaRue (Garlin) Fullmer of West Point; five grandchildren and two step-grandchildren; eight step-great grandchildren; three sisters, Geneva Hodge, Emmily Poole, and Mary Kaufman all of South Carolina. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 2, 1999 in the Clearfield Seventh Ward Chapel, 231 East 300 North. Family and friends may call on Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 North Fairfield Road, and from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the Church prior to the services.
Interment will be in the Laketown City Cemetery.
