Heaven became a brighter place on May 14, 2003, with the death of Kay Killpack Alger who passed away from complications due to kidney failure.
She was born to Kenner and Ilene Killpack on July 5, 1941 in Provo, Utah, being preceded in death by her father. She has one sister, Paula (Paul) Boss. She was married to Terry D. Alger in the Salt Lake Temple on March 17, 1961, and was a mother to two children- Mitchell D. Alger (Penny) and Paula Alger. In addition, she had three grandchildren - Alexis, Brooks and Madison Alger, in whom all of her thoughts, hopes and joys were realized. Her family, friends and loved ones were all fortunate to know such a generous, kind-hearted, joyful character with whom to associate. Her presence will be noticeably missed.
Her purpose on this earth was to serve her husband, family and her friends. She was a woman who possessed many gifts. She was highly creative and enjoyed working in interior design. She added her education so that she could share her knowledge in the classroom and teach Interior Design at Southern Utah University for 12 years. She was a natural teacher. She served her family and friends unconditionally and attracted all with whom she came in contact. She has endured much and her efforts on this earth will not go unnoticed.
The family wishes to thank her technicians, physicians and friends that have been so attentive to her needs; specifically, Kendall, Barb, Jan and Dr. Roy. You have made her journey bearable.
Mom we will miss you. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cedar West Stake Center in Cedar City, Utah. Friends may call or visit Tuesday, May 20, 2003 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Southern Utah Mortuary in Cedar City, Utah, 190 N. 300 W. Interment will be held at the Centerville City Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 22, 2003. (435)586-4040.
