Husband, father, and grandfather, Marvell Neilsen Ahlstrom, 77, died June 20, 2011 in Provo, Utah.

Marvell was born September 30, 1933 in Torrance, CA to Byron Pitt Ahlstrom and Gena Nielsen Ahlstrom. He was the youngest of five boys.

After his LDS mission, Marv attended Brigham Young University, where he graduated in 1959 with a BS degree. He later earned his MBA from Pepperdine College. Marv Married Louise Cluff in the Los Angeles Temple and they had eight children.

Upon his graduation from BYU, Marv was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1959. He served active duty in Panama for two years, where his daughter Sandra was born. He finished his service in Southern California in 1965.
