Johann Adam (Bartholoma˙) Bartalamay was born in Walter, Russia. He was the son of Johann Heinrich Bartholoma˙ and Anna Elisabeth Gottwig. Adam married Katharina Elisabeth Walter 10 Feb 1900 in Walter. They immigrated to America, departing Hamburg, Germany, 26 Apr 1913 on the steamship SS Antonia, arriving in New york 12 May 1913. Eight children were born to this marriage: Infant [died in infancy], Friedrich "Fred", Adam, Amalia "Molly", Maria, Emanuel, Esther, and Benjamin Bartalamay.
