Chehalin Rites Due
Clyde T. Adams, 48, of Chehalis, died Saturday after he was struck by a train near Longview.
Adams was born July 3, 1921 in Napavine and was a longtime resident of Lewis County. He was a group life counselor at Green Hill School and a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard in World War II. He was a member of the Chehalis Eagles Lodge 1550.
Survivors include his widow, Lorraine, at home; a daughter, Marla Adams, Eureka, Calif.; a son, Ronald Ellis, Chehalis; his father, Willis M. Adams, Chehalis; 9 sisters, Mrs. George (Hattie) Krohn, Winlock; Mrs. Opal McChesney, Centralia; Mrs. Ethel Roberts, Woodburn, Ore.; Mrs. Lou (Iva)
Skillings and Mrs. Dorothy Williamson, both of Centralia; Mrs. Mildred Otterness, Federal Way; Mrs. Loren (Wanda) Smith, Alderwood Manor; Mrs. Vernon (Alma) McCoy, Newberg, Ore.; and Mrs. Herman (Geraldine) Lamprecht, Chehalis.
Graveside services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Mountain View Cemetery. Rev. F. Wayne Ridout will officiate. Arranements are under the direction of Fissell-Brown Mortuary.
