Robert Henry Bacus

Robert Henry Bacus, age 64, passed away Sunday, Nov. 26, 2006 at his home in Roy, Wash. Robert was born Nov. 12, 1942 in Sedro-Woolley, Wash., the son of George and Pearl Ammons, and was raised by William and Francis Bacus.

Bob grew up in Sedro-Woolley, attending school and graduating from Sedro-Woolley High School with the Class of 1961. He resided in Sedro-Woolley until moving to Roy, Wash., in 1970 where he worked for Wilcox Farms for 36 years as a Logistic Manager.

Bob was married to Bonnie Jean Wright in 1961 in South Carolina. She preceded him in death in 1993. In 1995, Bob married Trudy Edgar at the family home in Roy, and he thereby gained an extended family.

Bob was a member of the Moose and Eagles and was an avid hunter who enjoyed life and the outdoors.

Bob is survived by: His wife, Trudy Bacus, of the family home in Roy, Wash; two sons, Kenny Bacus of Stanwood, Wash. and Randy Bacus and his wife Bonnie of Roy, Wash; stepson, Charles "Cap" Edgar and his wife Carla of Silver Creek, Wash; three stepdaughters, Thelma Gibb and her husband Ken of Galt, Calif., Violet Vigil and her husband Tommy of Saguache, Colo., and Trudy Michelle Edgar and her companion Aaron Moody of Yelm, Wash.; his mother, Francis Bacus of Tumwater, Wash; three brothers, Art Lutz and his wife Dolly of Falls Church, Virg., Denny Ammons and his wife Margaret of Hamilton, and Jim Ammons and his wife Geraldine of Elma, Wash; three sisters, Mary Sherman of Tumwater, Wash., Selah Hooper and her husband Arnold of Orofino, Idaho, and Elaine Stafford of Sedro-Woolley, Wash.; two half-sisters, Chris Morgan of Chehalis, Wash., and Darlene Ammons of Sedro-Woolley, Wash; two step-brothers, Richard Smith and his wife Polly of Selah, Wash. and Dale Smith and his wife Carla of Yakima, Wash.; two step-sisters, Margaret Littlefield and Zoenne Sargent both of Yakima, Wash. 21 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Graveside Services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 2, 2006 at the Hamilton Cemetery with Pastor Ron Edwards of the Hamilton Baptist Church officiating. A fellowship will follow at the Sedro-Woolley Eagles. Visitation will be Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday until Noon at Lemley Chapel.
