ATHENS - Services for Albert J. "Pet" Dosser, 70, Athens, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home chapel, Athens, with Rev. Thom Taylor officiating.

Burial will be in Willow Springs Cemetery.

Mr. Dosser died April 14, 2007, at his residence.

He was born Oct. 13, 1936, in Athens, to the late Louis Edward and Willie Viola Pate Dosser. He was a 1955 graduate of Malakoff High School. He moved to Lake Jackson and began a career with Houston Lighting & Power that spanned 37 years. Following retirement as head lineman in 1991, he returned to Henderson County. He was a member of Willow Springs Baptist church.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Harry E., Charlie and L.E. Dosser Jr.; sisters, Christine Reynolds, Faye Floyd, Lil Phillips and Lucy Rankin.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Connie M. Dosser, Athens; sons, Barry Dosser, Freeport; and David Dosser, Athens; brothers, Pete Dosser, Chandler; and Sonny Dosser, Bonham; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Randy Reynolds, Terry Reynolds, Ronald Reynolds, Derrick Mitchamore, Kevin Dosser and Donnie Dosser.

Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
