Tim C. Buckingham, 82, died at his home in Gig Harbor, Wash., on April l, 2007.
He was born in Cody to Catherine and J.C. Buckingham. He graduated from Cody High School in 1942.
Upon graduation he entered the military, spending most of his enlistment in the South Seas as a bombardier in the B-17 and B-24. He had many stories to tell of those times.
He was discharged in 1945 and became a pipefitter which took him again to many parts of the northern hemisphere such as Greenland and Alaska.
He married Alberta Mustad while working in Great Falls, Mont. They moved to Gig Harbor nearly 30 years ago.
He is survived by his wife, daughter Jacqueline Knight and son Tim Jr., brother Jerry Buckingham of England, sisters Kathleen Bohmont of Fort Collins, Colo., Nancy Jones of Aurora, Colo., and Sybil Roach of LaQuinta, Calif., and Edwards, Colo., and several grandchildren.
At his request no services were held.
