Julia L Ayre
Last week Thursday occurred the death of Miss Julia L Ayre at the home of her brothers P.L and J. A Ayre on Deep Creek. The cause of her demise was tuberculosis, from which she had been suffering for the past six years, having contracted the malady while engaged in teaching school in Kansas. She was born August 12, 1875 in Londown county, Virginia. She came west to Kansas with her parents in 1897, and from thence to this section in the latter part of April of this year. She had been living with her brothers since her arrival here. Her mother and a sister were present at the funeral services, they living with her brothers also. She has four sisters and two brothers. Her father is in Burehard, Nebraska.
The Rev. L.E. Stannard of Mill Creek performed the ceremony. She was interred in the Evergreen cemetery, east of this city. While she had not been here for a very long time she still had made a host of friends, no one who ever became acquainted with her failing to become a friend of the suffering girl. The sincerest sympathy is extended to the bereaved family by all her friends.
