William 'Bill' H. Abken Jr. was born on June 24, 1949, in Pasco, Washington, and died July 18, 2003, in Kennewick, Washington.

Bill graduated from Kennewick High School in 1967. Bill was employed as an operator for Lampson International for over 25 years.

Bill was a beloved husband for 30 years to Lori, and a beloved father to sons, Billy, Jacob and daughter Ashley. He will truly be missed.

Bill also leaves behind his mother Dorothy, brother Harvey and wife Sue of Kennewick; sisters Barbara Dewitz of Richland and Jeri Hankel of Fort Worth, Texas. Bill also leaves numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his father William and niece Julie Ludeman.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2003, at 11:00 a.m. at Desert Lawn Memorial Park, Kennewick, Washington. Following the service a gathering for the family and friends will be held at the Lampson International office building.

Donations can be made to the Kennewick HAPO Credit Union for Bill's wife, Lori and their children.
