Rose Barsanti, former Butte, Montana resident, died suddenly at her home on Anderson Island, Washington on January 10, 2000. Rose was born in Butte to Bill and Mary O'Malley on September 9, 1926. She attended Jefferson, Grant and Butte High School. She was preceded in death by her parents. Rose married Ralph Barsanti in Butte. After 30 years as a military wife and extensive moving (Japan, Germany, Alaska, and numerous US locations), Rose and Ralph chose Anderson Island as a place to settle down and lived there for the past 20 years. Rose loved to sit in her kitchen each morning looking over her lake and enjoyed feeding her deer twice daily. To her, Anderson Island was the most beautiful place in the world. She also loved her dogs and cats, especially her cat "Missy". Over the years they made many short vacations to Jackpot, Elko and Reno.
