HENDERSON -- Roy E. Alessi, formerly of Philadelphia, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2001, at Methodist Hospital.
He retired as a mechanical engineer from Philadelphia Electric and was a gourmet cook and woodworker.
He was a member of St. John's Baptist Church in Philadelphia. He was a Mason and a past master.
Surviving are his wife, Estelle Evans Alessi; a daughter, Marie Zawinsky of Punta Gorda, Fla.; two stepdaughters, Elecia Lewis of Franklin, Tenn., and Carolyn Broder of San Marino, Calif.; two stepsons, John D. Evans of Ocala, Fla., and Charles A. Evans of Henderson; three brothers, Andy Alessi of Media, Pa., James Alessi of Berwick, Pa., and Albert Trease of Sacramento, Calif.; two grandchildren, Debbie French and Roy Ernest Zawinsky; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home, with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church of Henderson or his church.
