HENDERSON, Ky. -- Max G. Addy, 85, died Monday afternoon at Redbanks Nursing Home.
He was a World War II Army veteran with combat service in Europe and a member of Henderson General Baptist Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Sherryl Cook of Oak Ridge, Tenn., Charline Spring of Evansville and Miriam Terry of Toney, Ala.; a son, Stanley of Newburgh ; four sisters, Louise Baker of Albuquerque, N.M., Marnesse Muhoberac of Meterie, La., Hazel Wise of Blowing Rock, N.C., and Elsie Thornburgh of Evansville; a brother, John L. of Albuquerque; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
His wife of 56 years, Ruth, died Aug. 4.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home, with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, where American Legion Worsham Post 40 will conduct military rites.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
