Vickie S. Arthur, 56, of Richmond, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2014, at St. Joseph East Hospital in Lexington.
Vickie was born March 3, 1958, in Harlan, KY to Euna Lawson Sharp and William Henry Sharp.
Vickie was retired and enjoyed spending time with her daughters, sons-in-law, grandchildren and playing bunco with her traveling bunco group. Vickie was always ready to have a good time and loved playing practical jokes on her family members.
She loved the beach, eating crab legs and Reese's cups.
She also loved going on trips with her sisters and close friends.
She is survived by her two daughters, Jessica (Ryan) Pinkston, of Versailles and Brittney (Bill) Tackett, of Richmond;
three Grandchildren Madelyn Pinkston, Elijah Lay and Emma Tackett; her doting and beloved father, William H Sharp, of Harlan; 4 siblings Billie Sue Lewis, of Harlan, Betty (Phillip) Wilder, of London, Tony (Betty) Cox of Sevierville, TN and Bill (Maxine) Sharp, Jr. of Speedwell, TN and several loving nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles; along with her best friend Shay Pennington, whom was by her side, especially through the last weeks of her battle
She was preceded in death by her mother, Euna Mae Lawson Sharp and her loving stepmother, Virginia Sharp; her paternal grandmother, Susie Sharp and her maternal grandparents, Hazel and Britt Lawson, Sr., and several aunts and uncles.
Visitation for Vickie will be from 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home in Richmond, Kentucky.
Committal service and burial will be 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at the Resthaven Cemetery in Harlan County, Kentucky.
Britt Lawson III will officiate the service. Her nephews and cousins will serve as honorary pallbearers.
