Joyce Sylvia Bishop, 61, of Williamsburg died Thursday, March 15, 2001, at her home.
Born in Hayes, England, Dec. 16, 1939, Joyce was the daughter of Leonard A. Atkinson and the late Ethel Booth Atkinson.
Joyce was a very active member of Bruton Parish Episcopal Church serving on various committees and in the adult choir.
Surviving are her husband of 42 years, Eugene Bishop; a son, Stephen Bishop of Kensington, Md.; a daughter, Kathryn A. Thaxton of Boyds, Md.; her father, Leonard Atkinson of Hayes, England.
Memorial services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, at Bruton Parish Church with interment following in the church cemetery.
