Services for Alva B. Adams, 90, of Fulton will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, 2003, at First United Methodist Church in Fulton, where she was a member. Burial will be in Murray City Cemetery.
Mrs. Adams died Friday, Dec. 12, 2003, at her home.
She was a member of United Methodist Women and of the Wesley Gleaners Sunday School Class of the First United Methodist Church in Fulton, Ky., where she had joined in 1960. She was also a hobbyist who enjoyed painting, needlework, crafts, and gardening. She had been a full partner in the former Ben Franklin store in Fulton. She was a native of Carroll County, Tenn., and had lived in this area since 1960.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Anne and Roy S. Logan of Fulton; two grandchildren, Lynn Marie Kelley of Greenwood, S.C., and John Noble Armstrong of Elizabethtown, N.C.; and three great-grandchildren, David Ladd Kelley Jr. and Lindsey Marie Kelley, both of Greenwood, and Dylan Noble Armstrong of Elizabethtown.
She was preceded in death by her husband, W.M. "Bill" Adams; two sisters; and one brother. Her parents were Sidney O. and Willie Gross Bennett.
Friends may call between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, 2003, at the church.
