ALLEN, William Hager age 83, (born December 27, 1920) of Jackson, KY and formerly of Trotwood, Ohio passed away Monday May 24, 2004 at Kentucky River Medical Center after a long illness. He was preceded in death by his father, Grover Cleveland Allen; mother Mary Donna Allen; four brothers, Malcolm, Frank, Harold and Charlie; and one sister Gerrie Allen. He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 63 years, Marselle Gillum Allen; one daughter, Mary Pommeranz; one grand-daughter Marcy Gillum Allen; and one special sister-in-law, Katherine Jean Campbell all of Jackson, KY; one special niece, Josephine Young of Union, OH; two brothers George B. Allen and Grover C. Allen of Huber Heights, Ohio; two sisters Helen Deaton of Hamilton, Ohio and Mary Catherine Morton of Portage, Michigan; brother-in-law Thomas Auburn Gillum of Camden, Ohio; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was a retired civil engineer for Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Fairborn, Ohio and was a World War II veteran. He was a member of the Jackson Christian Church and the Northwest Christian Church Disciples of Christ of Trotwood, Ohio. Mr. Allen was a mason since 1947 when he was initiated into Breath H. Lodge #649 F & AM of Jackson, KY. He was a member of Blue Lodge, York Rite, Scottish Rite, Knights Templar of the Red Cross and was a past commander of Dayton Commandary #68 of Dayton, Ohio. Deaton Funeral Home of Jackson, KY is in charge of the arrangements with visitation from 12:00 Wed. until time of funeral with services immediately following at 3:00 P.M. in the Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Paddick officiating. Interment at the Jackson Cemetery, Jackson, KY
