"Elijah and Molly settled 2 1/2 miles north where Albany, Kentucky now stands. Their land was north of the Old Hopkins School House and State Park. It is known as the Frank Burchett farm or the Keith Speck farm.
He built what was known as the largest log house. Two large rooms on the north and two on the south with a large hall in between. The kitchen on the back. They raised their family there and later years Pleasant Hart Hopkins, their grandson, lived there. He had a large farm."
