Obit from "Simpson County, Kentucky Area Pre-1911 Obituaries" compiled by Dorothy Donnell Steers:
"19 Aug 1909. Mr. Miles Anglea died at his home in the city Sunday morning at 7:20 o'clock from the effects of an injury sustained on the afternoon before when he touched a live wire on a telephone pole and was hurled to earth, a distance of about 30 feet. He was a lineman for the East Tennessee Telephone Company for a number of years... The wire tore part of the scalp from his head and from the fall he recieved a broken leg, hip and arm and internal injuries... The deceased was reared at Brackentown, Tenn., but for a number of years had resided in Franklin... He is survived by his wife and one child. Funeral servives were conducted from the residence Monday morning by Rev. T.V.Joiner followed by burial in Green Lawn Cemetery."
