Floyada “Flo” Margetta Blurton was born July 24, 1908 at Pittsburg, KS., the daughter of Alfred and Ethel Draper Blurton and departed this life on Aug. 15, 1989 at the home of her granddaughter, Marie Jenkins in Queen City, TX., at the age of 81 years, and 22 days.
She was married to Samuel Otis Arvin on Oct. 31, 1926 and to this union 10 children were born. She was preceded in death by her husband, and two sons.
She is survived by three daughters, Lila Hopkins and husband, Arnold of Oil City, LA., Thelma Alexander of Mountain View, MO. And Eve Arvin of Queen City, TX,; five sons, Sam and wife, Della of Kansas City, Ks., Bill and wife Sue, of Bossier City, LA., Howard and wife Sandy of Kansas City City, KS., Donald of Queen City, TX. And Joe Avin of Rolla, MO.; 35 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren and two great great grandsons; two sisters, Opal Robards of Jay, OK. and Elizabeth Collins of Wichita, Ks.; and a host of other relives and friends.
She was a loving mother and grandmother.
Graveside services were held Fri. Aug. 18 at 10 a.m. in the Montier Cemetery under the direction of the Duncan Funeral home of Birch Tree.
