He was the Son of the late JOE and RONA BAY (DECKER) ABBOTT. He was united in marriage to VELMA ZIMMERMAN and to this union, 5 Children were born. He is survived by: his Wife, VELMA ABBOTT, of Monticello, KY, 4 Children: MARY (ABBOTT) KUHN, of Indianapolis, IN; LYMON ABBOTT, of Monticello, KY; Joyce (ABBOTT) EATON, of Glasgow, KY and DELBERT ABBOTT, of Columbia, KY. He is also survived by 11 Grandchildren and 21 Great-Grandchildren, along with a host of family and friends, who mourn his passing. In addition to his Parents, JOE and RONA ABBOTT, he was preceded in death by 1 Son, BOBBY JOE ABBOTT; 2 Great-Grandchildren; 3 Sisters, THELMA (ABBOTT) BRUMMETT, DELLA (ABBOTT) HURT and LENA (ABBOTT) DENNEY and 1 Half-Brother, WILLIAM ABBOTT. He was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Uncle, Relative and Friend, who will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Visitation: The family will receive friends after 6:00 PM, on Friday, May 1st, 2009, in the Chapel. The Funeral Service will be held Saturday, May 2nd, 2009 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of the Marvin S.
