NEW FREEDOM John Russell Fleetwood, 23, formerly of Odenton, Md., died Wednesday, October 3, 2007, at York Hospital. He was the husband of Rachel M. (Dieter) Fleet wood, whom he married on March 15, 2007. A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, October 8, 2007, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2100 Hollywood Drive, York, with Bishop Brandon M. Bushey officiating. Viewing will be 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church. Interment will be in Joseph Giesey Memorial Cemetery, Shrewsbury. He was born February 29, 1984, in Frederick, Md., the son of Charles M., Jr. and Cheryl D. (Lamberson) Fleetwood. John worked for Really MoveIn of Timonium, Md., for the past year and previously worked for Coax, Inc., in Glen Rock. Prior to that, he enjoyed working for Signature Special Event Services, through a local office in Maryland. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, York. John enjoyed anything with wheels, loved riding his motorcycle, liked the outdoors, and especially enjoyed playing ice hockey. He really liked to turn things "inside-out," and work at putting them back together. John enjoyed metal working in high school, and when he was a child he was enrolled in a YMCA program, Indian Guides, that he and his father enjoyed together. John loved his "little man," Hayden. In addition to his wife and parents, John is survived by a son, Hayden J. Fleetwood at home; a brother, Paul C. Fleetwood of Crownsville, Md.; a sister, Christi D. Graham and her husband, Jon of Hope Mills, N.C.; maternal grandmother, Dolly Lamberson of New Freedom; and paternal grandmother, Mary A. Fleetwood of Odenton, Md. John was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Russell L. Lamberson; and his paternal grandfather, Charles M. Fleetwood, Sr. J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., New Freedom, is in charge.
