Everett Prince Bailey, Jr. was a native of Polk County, Tennessee, the son of Everett Prince Bailey, Sr. and Pearl Porter. He was a 1953 graduate of Polk County High School, and had lived most of his adult life in Florida having retired from Florida Power and Light Company.

He was a member of the Manatee Springs Church of Christ where he served as song director for several years. A disabled U. S. Navy veteran, he was buried with full military honors.

He was preceded in death by his father, Everett, and survivors are his wife, Jeanette, three sons, Steve, Greg and Keith and his mother, Pearl Bailey. Also surviving are two brothers, Ralston and Lowell of Benton, Tennessee and a sister, Marian Bailey Presswood, also of Benton, and six grandchildren.
