DOROTHY MAY ALDRICH
ABBEVILLE. . .Dorothy May Ball "Babe" Aldrich, a resident of Abbeville, died early Sunday morning, March 22, 2009, in the Henry County Health & Rehabilitation Facility. She was 100.
Burial will be held at a later date in the Glen Abbey Memorial Gardens in Auburndale, Florida. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Aldrich was born in Twin Mountain, New Hampshire and lived in Plant City and Lakeland, Florida before moving to Abbeville in 2001. She was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Aldrich was formerly employed by Gilman Paper Company in Gilman, Vermont. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Wallace Aldrich, two sisters, Grace Allen and Florence Perkins, a brother, Charles Ball, two sons-in-law, Gordon Stone and Michael Clayton and three grandchildren, Michael Doner, Dennis Doner and Duane Stone.
Surviving relatives include three daughters, Bettie L. Collins and husband, William Collins, Belle Fourche, South Dakota; Ruth M. Doner and husband, Wesley Doner, Abbeville; Marie F. Clayton, Taylor, AL.; fifteen grandchildren, several great and great-great-grandchildren.
