William M. Atwell, an honored and respected pioneer citizen of Miller County, died at his home near Iberia March 24. His death was very sudden, perhaps from heart trouble as he was found dead at the barn. He was born
in this county December 17, 1848, and was 83 years, 4 months and 7 days old when he died.
He was married December 14, 1877, to Miss Livonia Josephine
Roland, and to this union four children were born-Lennie (Mrs.O.J. Parish), Letha (Mrs. Healey); Laura (Mrs. A.C. Humphrey) and Everett. Linnie preceded him in death November 31, 1927. He also leaves to cherish his memory
Mr. Atwell was a faithful husband and a kind and loving father. He was a good man, honest in his dealings with his many friends, loved and respected by his neighbors and his religion was a strict adherence to the Golden Rule.
Funeral services were conducted Friday at Union Church by Rev. Geo. W. Warman.
