Harvey Preston Abbett, 51, died today at his home at 311R W. Elm St. Mr. Abbett was a cook in the Jefferson Building cafeteria. He was born March 18, 1915 at Houston, Mo., son of Andrew and Roxie J. Denton Abbett.
Mr. Abbett is survived by his widow, Seldon M. Abbett of the home; one daughter, Mrs. James Bennett, Bridgeton, Mo.; three brothers, Raymond E. Abbett and Milo C. Abbett, both of Jefferson City, and Thomas Abbett, Colorado Springs, Colo.; two sisters, Mrs. Homer Lipscomb, Dixon, Mrs. William Reed, Washington, Mo., and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at a local funeral home by the Rev. B. G. Johnson. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery, Tuscumbia.
